We are the careers and employability event designed to give you all the tools and opportunities to find the path to your future in the region.

The event includes speaker sessions in a virtual auditorium setting, as well as a virtual exhibition hall to connect you with local projects and employers. Here you can explore opportunities for work experience, placements, open positions, and other pathways to your new career!

The event focuses on growing industries in the area, which are looking for new professionals or will have advancement or training opportunities in the near future. These include:

Agricultural, environmental and animal care; Construction; Creative and Cultural; Digital and ICT; Engineering and Manufacturing; Finance; Health and Social Care; Logistics; and the Visitor Economy

Event FAQs

This event is split between two days to cater for two different audiences. The first day is for young people aged 15 or over, who are looking to explore their future career options by learning about growing industries in the region and discovering opportunities with our exhibitors and employers. The second day is for adult jobseekers, who are looking to start a new career, return to work or change their current career path, by discovering real opportunities to start working and gain experience.

Yes, the event is free to participate both for attendees and exhibitors.
As an attendee, you can join our key speaker sessions in the auditorium, explore the exhibition hall, and chat to employers and organisations in the South East region.
As an exhibitor, you can showcase your organisation and the opportunities you can offer to our audiences, by adding video content and other materials to your booth, as well as using the chat function with attendees.
Unfortunately, our live sessions and chat function can only be used during the scheduled days and times of the event. However, all those who have registered have access to the virtual venue for 30 days after the event, so you can view any recorded sessions, exhibition booths and materials whenever is convenient for you.
Your login details will be sent to the email you registered with before the event. Please use these to access the event on the day.
If you would like to register a group or class, this can be done by completing an Excel document with all the registrants' information. Please email SELEP@getvfairs.io to access the file and send back the completed version.
We are taking measures to make this event accessible for all individuals. If you have any concerns about accessibility or need further support, please contact Jim or Louise via email and we will do our best to accommodate you. Subtitles will be added to all speaker sessions where possible.
